Ingésciences, a technical referent for VDLV

Located in the industrial, scientific and commercial hub of 14,000 m² powered by VDLV, Ingésciences is a young independent company which places Research as a vector for future industrial applications. Its range of services has been developed to meet the needs of many sectors of activity such as vaping, agriculture, environment, health, agro-food, cosmetology or biotechnology.

By combining science with process engineering, the company is organized into two separate departments.

OpenSciences: analysis laboratory and R&D center

Expert in the study of inhalation products, Ingésciences relies on the technical and scientific knowledge acquired by the former LFEL (French Laboratory of E-liquid). LFEL, a major player in vapology at the origin of several substantial studies, has been a partner of VDLV since 2014.

OpenSciences is involved in the design and chemical formulation of products and their regulatory compliance. With a multidisciplinary team, the laboratory designs adapted analytical methods through high performance equipment (U-SAV )to perform chemical, physical and biological analyses.

VDLV relies on Ingésciences for the behavioural study of vapers by associating the variability of the material and the chemical diversity of the e-liquids used. Their methodology makes it possible to study the composition of steam and establish baselines for scientific research. The OpenSciences teams are also able to establish benchmarks for comparing products and provide analytical answers on the potential risks associated with the use of an electronic cigarette.

OpenSciences also carries out scientific monitoring work and leads various innovative research projects. Among them, the VapEcell program, studying the influence of physical and chemical parameters on vaporization. This work even goes as far as studying their biological impact on 3D human cells.
